We believe communication skills are so important to success that every program in our curriculum of off-the-shelf learning includes a module on communication. We’ve developed our own proprietary Communication Cycle model to organize and demonstrate the important components of communication. Our Communication Cycle has been used by hundreds of Fortune 100 and 500 companies around the world for more than 30 years.

When we teach communication skills, our participants practice them in a variety of scenarios, using their real-world situations, which builds confidence that these skills make a difference to outcomes. Our consultants are required to be able to model the communication skills we teach—both in the classroom and in their interactions with our clients and us.

Poor communication is often in the top three areas identified as needing improvement in employee engagement surveys, 360-degree feedback survey results and development plans. Participants tell us that learning communication skills, especially how to use active listening, is the most valuable skill they’ve learned.
